It was fantastic to meet and work with so many talented, interesting and considerate students. I enjoyed getting to know everyone. One of the high points was a recital performance in Old Cabell Hall by the Learn To Groove ensemble. In class guest artists Humberto and Madeline Sales and Kevin Davis also added a rare opportunity for students to play with authentic Brazilian and Afro-Cuban musicians.

He is an amazing! A truly unique player and inspiried performer. We had a wonderful concert with Rusty Farmer on bass. Cyrus Chestnut opened the show with a magnificent solo piano performance. Cyrus sat in with us for the last two tunes. Which was also amazing!
